ACADEMIC ADVISORS You will all be assigned an academic advisor to assist you throughout the program. The admissions and advising team will develop your program plan and provide you with a list of courses to register for in your first semester. Once you receive this personalized plan, you may begin to register for classes.
Note: Do not panic about getting into your classes! There will be enough slots reserved for all graduate students. If you go to register for a class and it is full or you do not meet a prerequisite, contact the admissions/advising team at [email protected] for assistance. You will receive information about Fall classes by mid-June 2022. Please do not wait until August to register for classes.
REGISTERING FOR CLASSES
To register for classes, you must first activate your campus ID. Go to https://paws.gsu.edu/ or click here to activate your campus ID.
Next, sign into PAWs with your new campus ID and register for the classes listed in your planned program.
Once logged in, scroll down to Student Dashboard
Find Fall Semester 2022 and click "Add/Drop/Withdraw Classes"
Select the term Fall Semester 2022 and click "Submit"
Scroll to the bottom of the page, select "Look-Up Classes to Add" to find CRNs of classes (or type in CRNs if provided by your supervisor).
From there, select Communication Science and Disorders as subject. Type in the name of the class and search!
--Please note: If you are on a 2 1/2 or 3 year track, some of your classes may be listed under Undergraduate classes and may have different Prefix titles (e.g. SCOMM). You may have to search around to find it. 6. Copy the CRN number of the course you would like to add. Click on Add/Drop/Withdraw classes (at bottom of page). 7. Paste CRN number into the box and click Submit Changes! 3. You may add all classes at once or add them one at a time.

PARKING/ PERMITS In order to park on campus, students must go to the GSU parking website or Auxiliary Services to get a FREE permit. Make sure to have your make, model, and license plate number of your car handy as you will need those in order to register your car. Display your permit in your car window at all GSU parking locations. http://parking.gsu.edu
Once you have your FREE student permit, you can purchase parking deck permits for each semester and purchase budget cards for parking.
Georgia State Stadium parking is FREE of charge with your Georgia State Parking Permit.
Panther Express Shuttles run from Georgia State Stadium to campus. A Panther Express bus arrives approximately every 1 minute between the hours of 7:00am and 10:30 pm Monday- Friday.
Located at Auditorium Pl., near Hurt Park. Parking permits allow you to park in the assigned deck for any number of days throughout the semester.

Students must sign up to get on the wait list for permits. Once on the wait list, you will be contacted by Auxiliary Services to pay for your permit online. You must pay for your permit before the deadline in order to reserve your permit
$4.00 per entry with a valid Georgia State University student Parking Budget Card • $2.50 per entry after 4 PM in all decks and lots.
T Deck:
Located next to the Sun Trust Building (across from Hurt Park on Auburn it is the most central parking to the College of Education.
Currently under construction; accepts budget pass and cash only.
Can only be obtained from the customer service area located on the second floor of the University Bookstore building.
A minimum of $7.00 must be pre-paid onto the budget card.
MARTA
Monthly MARTA BREEZE passes available at Parking Services and online for a reduced rate of $61.
Purchase passes for the next month before the 15th of the previous month. Example: For use during the month of September, you'll need to purchase between August 1-15
Five Points Station is located approximately 2 blocks from the College of Education.
Peachtree Center station is approximately 4-5 blocks from the College of Education.
Many students walk together to the Marta after class for safety.
Georgia State University Library: Home The Library is an incredible resource for research and study. Librarians have resource pages that include online resources by topic. Librarians are available to chat online to help you anytime. Study rooms for groups of two or more are available for reservation. Reserve early during midterms and finals! Reserve a study room here! Use your panther card to borrow dry erase markers, erasers, laptops, and other technology from the reservation desk on the second floor.
The Georgia State University Bookstore is your official headquarters for textbooks, class supplies, University licensed insignia merchandise, gift items, general books, computers, software,Graduation Regalia and Photography, and accessories, and snacks. Textbooks adopted by Georgia State University faculty for classes at Georgia State are available for purchase on line, with home delivery or store pick up.
